Yeah, some people say their cards run exactly at the same clocks when in sli, other people say their cards clock differently when ran in sli, I'm in the clock differently group. If I add a +39 to the core for both cards, they will then both run at 1405. Once they're set up to run in SLI, they both run at 1366 while gaming or benching. If it remains VRel when the speed drops again, then id say its related to what MM posted about- deliberate throttling by the driver. This is a relatively new feature in GPU-Z as it only seems to show messages on GTX 600/700 series. Ill keep an eye on it and if it drops again, Ill check the PerfCap Reason again. To further add, PerfCap Reason, as some of you might have guessed, means Performance Capped-Reason. After a moment stabilize and will be Vrel to infinity. With my two 970's, out of the box clocks, voltage, and vbios, one boosts to 1405, the other to 1366 when ran individually. The PerfCap Reason onlys says VRel (reliable voltage)and a solid blue bar but its speed is back to what it used to be. When i start some game or benchmark GPUZ sometimes ( not always, depend on run ) showing perfcap PWRThrmVREL during first seconds after starting game or benchmark. Good guess but I don't think this is correct as all my cards boost to different clocks when ran in sli on stock vbios. Indicating perf is limited by total power limit. Indicating perf is limited by max operating voltage. Indicating perf is limited by reliability voltage. I would guess that one card can't boost any higher and thus the other card is held back. Re: Gpu-z PerfCap Reason Vrel, VOp Tuesday, Novem8:04 AM ( ) Sajin. Perfcap SLI? I can't find any real information on it. seems the only thing i can see is VRel and VOp in the perfcap reason. well i have come to using GPU-Z to see what is happening when i have fps drops and stuff. Indicating perf is limited by GPU utilization. Discussion in Graphics Cards started by D1craig. Indicating perf is limited by temperature limit. When monitoring with gpuz the PerfCap reason is always VRel, which when I mouse over it says Limited by Reliability Voltage. Hi folks, I have an MSI Armor 1060 6GB card. Indicating perf is limited by total power limit. GPUZ - PerfCap Reason - VRel Thread starter melk Start date 1 M. Indicating perf is limited by max operating voltage. But yet, I see PerfCap Reason as VRel in GPU-Z, and like I said above - my FPS can get down into the 30s (or 20s in raids). If GPU utilization rises a lot higher, the perfcap reason will end up being PWR, VRel or VOP. Bdary Sajin kwkrnu72 Sajin vRel = Reliability. Util PerfCap means it saw no reason to clock higher (this is based on the GPU utilization.
